No Surprises Act

As a cash-based physical therapy provider in Kansas, we are committed to transparency and clear communication regarding our services and fees. The No Surprises Act (NSA), effective January 1, 2022, mandates that healthcare providers offer uninsured or self-pay patients a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of expected charges for scheduled services. facs.org+6healthaffairs.org+6aafp.org+6

Our Commitment to You:

  • Good Faith Estimates: We will provide you with a GFE upon request or when scheduling services. This estimate will detail the expected charges for the physical therapy services you plan to receive. mayoclinic.org

  • Transparency: The GFE will include all anticipated costs, ensuring you have a clear understanding of your financial responsibility before receiving care.

  • Dispute Resolution: If your final bill exceeds the GFE by $400 or more, you have the right to initiate a dispute resolution process to address the discrepancy. aafp.org+3content.naic.org+3cms.gov+3

Please note that the NSA does not apply to ground ambulance services, and balance billing protections are limited to specific scenarios. However, as a cash-based provider, we aim to minimize any unexpected charges by offering upfront pricing and clear communication. dol.gov+9healthinsurance.org+9content.naic.org+9
